Talking Awesome brakes that won't break the bank!!

Let me tell you a little story. I had heard about Savvy's new Black Magic break pads and everyone saying how they were the greatest thing since sliced bread. Wouldn't have minded a set myself except I was under the impression that I needed to have Centric rotors to go with it. Not having the coin to spare for the full setup I figured eh my brakes are ok. Whatever. Fast forward to today. I am over at MrBlaines house doing a little of this and that to the beast when he says to me you need to get some of this black magic going for you. I says don't got the coin to do a full rotor and pad swap right now but thanks. He looks behind my tires and says your rotors are fine. A price is agreed upon and a pad swap begins. So being as I live quite aways away from his place he tells me you need to break these in some before you head home. I say ya wanna take a drive? In very MrBlaine fashion he grunts I may as well do for ya you'll just screw it up anyway so off we go. The break in procedure is pretty straight forward get up to 40 and brake HARD 4-5 times in a row them drive around some to cool the pads and repeat. Now the first couple of stops were pretty good but by the 10th or so stop I could feel my brain sloshing forward in my skull and back again. I tell MrBlaine this and he smiles and says that's at about 1/4 right now wait till they are bedded in! So we get back and I make my journey home. Not much traffic so no panic stops were needed. I get home and just got a chance to finish breaking them in some more and let me tell you my brakes straight sucked!!!even now just starting to bed in this things are the best brakes I have ever felt, my brakes could barely lock up the 215's that were on it when I got it and when I went to 31's that was a thing of the past. Now on 285's the jeep would stop but not in a big rush. As it sits it will almost lock up now, so when fully bedded in I have no doubt that these will bring my rig to a glorious smoky skidded stop. And this is on my old stock noncomposite rotors. I can't imagine what they would do on a set of Centrics. So if your brakes are leaving you wanting and you don't want to or in my case can't afford a full on Vanco set, do yourself a favor and swap in a set of these pads. Assuming your rotors are in good shape you will be amazed at what this will do for your braking. Nothing short of amazing!! PM MrBlaine for ordering info, you won't be sorry!!!

Interesting. I am a little disappointed in my recently acquired TJ's brakes.

I think these might be in my future. I am also drooling over his aluminum bumpers and round taillight kits.

Maybe I can get a package deal!

Do you have a link to these brake pads? Apparently I'm google inept this evening.

Thanks Stranger here's a link to the thread Vanco Brake Pad evaluation -
I run their gas tank skid front bumper and body lift also, couldn't be happier with any of it.
