AX-15 Unique(?) Third Gear Problem

Searched for this specific problem but did not find anything so here goes: When tranny is cold there is no problem shifting into 3rd. As it warms the grinding starts and then when it reaches full operating temperature I can't shift into 3rd. Tried a Redline oil and that didn't help. If it was ONLY the synchro wouldn't I have trouble with 4th too. Not familiar with transmissions and wondered if it could be something else or something in combo with the synchro. Thanks for any insight on this matter.

When mine started doing this it went very rapidly from a hard shift to a no shift. Turns out my clutch was hanging on the input shaft from a bad pilot bearing. Mine would start the day fine and by the time I got to work would hardly go in to 3rd. As the week went on in a matter of 10 minutes of driving it would not go into gear at all.

Thanks DevilDogDoc. This has been going on for over a year and luckily skipping 3rd gear is no problem when it gets to the point of no shifting for this TJ Wrangler. Does anyone else have anything to offer as well?
