Question Axle identification on 2005 and 2006

I'm looking at 05 and 06 unlimiteds on the net from dealers in my state and I've noticed that some have an optional limited slip axle. Was this limited slip axle available on the stock Dana 35's or did the limited slip only come with the Dana 44 upgrade?

some D35s have a LSD and some D44s have it.
on one of the diff cover bolts there should be a small metal plate. on that you can see if there is a LSD.

if you cant find this plate:
lift the rear of the jeep and turn aroud one tire.
if the other rear tire turns in the same direction you have a rear LSD. if it turns in the opposite direction you dont have it.

was the 05 and 06 TJ available with a D35...??? all EU models have a rear D44 since 2004.

All Unlimiteds come standard with a Dana 44 rear axle, both US and export versions.

x2 ... and I'm also pretty sure that they all had limited slips in them, other than the Rubicons which have the lockers.

While that certainly could be the case again, Tracloc LSDs became optional for Dana 44 axles where they used to be standard in early TJ D44s.

I'm getting nailed by that same problem more and more. I attribute it to reading too quickly but my wife says I'm just getting old.

I am 35 and do this more and more often so I don't think it has anything to do with ageIn my case I call it lazy reading just hit and skip.
