I dropped off my Jeep Saturday night to get an axle seal leak fixed (its still under warranty). After two days I still don't have my Jeep back. They said they have to replace the break on that side, axle seal, fluid, knuckles, clamps, bearings, and axle shaft... Since it was under warranty I don't have to pay for any of this but I'm wondering how much all this would usually cost including labor. They said it would be a one day job for just the seal but when they found out they had to replace the rest they said two days. Then I got a call today and the guy said the only reason its not ready is when he tried to put the bearing in it crumbled... How does a bearing crumble? I'm a bit confused by some of what they're telling me. I also can't see how all that should need to be replaced but hey, I'm not paying for it and he confirmed it was covered under warranty before he started. Do you guys think its taking too long and how much would it be if I had to pay out of pocket?
