Axle shaft u-joints went bad on my 97 jeep wrangler SE and wanted to do it my-self and wanted to know tools that i will need, how to do it? any tips, or pics would be great to thanks, and maybe some other little things that wouldnt hurt to replace while i am down there.
You may want to consider keeping a very close eye on the replacement u-joints that you will be installing. Mark the top of the caps and the axle ears to allow you to see, over time, if the caps are spinning. If they are wallowed out at all and allowing the caps to spin then you may be needing new shafts that aren't wallowed out.
Stu Olson has a great write up that will help you out.. Easy job,,
