Back in a TJ

Hi all!

New to the forum. I am military, currently stationed in RI. Just bought a 5 speed, 97 Sahara ( hard and soft tops) with 87k. Owned a 95 YJ, and a 97 Sport that were daily drivers that I sold a few years back. Now I have a toy (endorsed by my wife too!)

So far I stripped off the factory soft top (available!) and put on a Besttop Trektop. Love it! PO put on 31s, new clutch and brakes. I did a coolant flush, oil and filter last weekend. Next up Eastwood inside of the frame and POR-15 external frame. Very little rust right now and small amount if flaking inside. Want to keep it that way.

I look forward to reading and posting!

Jack

nice score.

Looks like you have Grizzly wheels with maybe some Goodyear Duratracs?

good plan with the frame treatments.

Close. Grizzly wheels with Goodyear Wranglers....they're apparently a sub model available only at Walmart. Plenty of tread left. Will keep them on until its time for lift and 33's.
