I just fold mine and push it foward. Then push it sideways till one of the side pins clears the mounting bracket and lift it out on an angle.

What year TJ do you have? Seat removal is different for 97-02 as opposed to 03-06.

Couldn't be easier on the 03-06's just tumble the seat forward then pull up and out on the cross bar. I just left the brackets in they don't get in the way of anything.

Bolts? I have taken my backseat out many times and have never had to remove the hardware. I just lift the quick release latch, lift up and out. Can't imagine your TJ not having the quick release.

06. Flip the seat up and there is a bar/rod running along the bottom. Squeeze it and it will release the hook. Pull the seat back slightly and up.
