Back window tail gate gap.

At the space where my back window and the tail gate meet there is a gap and no tracks or hardware to join them... Shouldn't there be something there so the cold and dust stay out?

Hard top, soft top? Can you post a pic?

My factory soft top has a tailgate bar that the back window slides into. It has a rubber lip that the tailgate seals against.

My factory hard top has a plastic piece on the bottom of the rear window glass. It also has a rubber lip on that plastic piece that the tailgate seals against.

You are missing the tailgate bar that inserts in the rear window and clamp into the rear tub. This :

Note, the above is for a soft top. For a hard top it is a different piece.

It's a soft top. And yes I think that is it. I found one online for about 50$ for the hardware. Also does anyone have issues with their zippers? Mine get off track and separate.

Keep it well lubed. I use Burt beeswax lip balm and run it over the teeth. You might have to slightly bend the zipper slider back in with pliers, they tend to bend apart causing the teeth to not zip together. You also may to replace those sliders over time. Those are an eBay or amazon items zipper #10, very cheap.

Thanks I will give it a try. I have plenty of Burt's around! I actually can't wait for consistent warm weather so I can just take then out! Another month or so! Although I have thought about just taking em out now! But then if it snows again I am gonna freeze. Yes I am in Southern California but I hate the cold. We don't get much only once or twice a year and that already happened so I may take the chance and deal with the zipping issue in the fall.
