Back window up with just front windows down?

The manual says you have to have the side windows removed when the back window is up because of carbon monoxide getting sucked in. Looking for opinions on whether it is safe to leave the back windows in and just roll down the front ones?

I do that, I'm still alive. I figure as long as the front windows are down and the air is whistling through you should be ok.

As long as you have some open windows, having the back one rolled up shouldn't be a problem. They don't want you to have your back window open with all the other windows closed. It WILL suck the fumes from your exhaust into your rig.

Hrm.....we better keep this one quiet or the liberal prius drivers will force all of us to put CO2 detectors in our Jeeps!

Do it all the time. They just have to state things like this to cover their butt.

Yea that exhaust huffing is rough! Before I swapped the motor out of my YJ I thought about hanging some hams from the rollbar and making some extra money as a portable smokehouse!

Lots of crap get sucked in that way, so do it at your peril. And if your Jeep runs rich, you'll end up smelling like exhaust by the time you get to your destination.

I do that often!Since my a/c is hopelessly not working,I removed the doors today, and am riding with no doors and no windows, only the roof is up,and that is only because the sun will fry your brain this time of year where I am-temp around 100,combined with humidity feels like 116!
