location really doesnt matter with regards to the k&n filter

$10 filter - filters air better with no air restriction to the engine

$40 filter- less filtration with no air restriction to the engine

basically paying for less filtration with no added benefit.

Update: I sure I found the issue. After running a full tank of gas and a bottle of 44k down to absolute empty ( going by the gauge not by the miles) went to the gas station and filled her up again, and from the supposed empty it only took 12 gallons of gas to full so I had about seven gallons left. So after calculating it I'm getting around 15 mpg in town

But, how about nitrogen filled tires, they say that saves gas mileage also....

How were you calculating mpg before? You should always calculated based on actual fuel used not by how big the tank is.
