Banks Exhaust(s)?

I'm about to replace my entire exhaust on my TJ('01) and have been eyeing the Banks's setups. I'm on the phone with one of the reps now on what will and won't fit and other issues, mostly dealing with the Torque Tube headers and the Monster exhaust. From what the rep said, there's basically a gap from where the headers end which is two separate collectors, then the gap, then to the exhaust. He was saying for the poor old Cali people that have to have 25 cats on a vehicle that gets OVER 9000 MPG, that the cats will have to be bolted up to the header, then from there a Y pipe (2-1) then to the muffler or straight out. For the rest of the universe that doesn't have restrictions restricting the restrictions that were restricted by restricting the restrictions(aka the rest of the US) there's supposed to be a Y pipe right off the header that would in turn go to a cat(if there's one used) to the muffler(also if used) on out.

I say all that to say this... Does anyone know if there's an aftermarket support that would supply that piece(s) from the header on down to what would be a Monster exhaust from Banks or is it going to have to be made from scratch? I guess you could call that whole section a down pipe(the Y collector to a pipe that fits to the Banks exhaust). Any and all help would be appreciated, trolling accepted, especially from anyone from Cali(even though you guys have some of the best wheeling spots in the US, your state blows overall.)

Damn, the other thing I forgot to put in all that was that he said that the Revolver exhaust would also bolt up, but wouldn't there still have to be some sort of fab going on to get the exhaust ran to the right side of the Jeep or can it be ran down the left side without bothering anything?

I have the Banks on my 06 TJ but had it installed. I did remove the cat-back portion for a trans rebuild recently but do not recall what the set up was. It is a great system though. good tone and helped out the 'power' a bit. I will take a look and ask my installing shop.

I installed the monster cat back on my 98. What they don't tell you is that if you have a hitch the tip won't fit on. I've emailed twice now if they offer a turn down or anything I could buy so that I could use the tip. I got no response. I probably wouldve bought something else, but its too late now. Other than that, I love it. Its stainless and was easy to install.

sorry with the issues you experienced but its next to impossible to test fit the exhaust with every aftermarket bumper or trailer hitch thats offered. its safe to say that the Banks system will fit with most of them. if you have any questions you can email me at mdiaz@bankspower.com.

I installed the banks moster exhaust on my 01 TJ, and the only good thing about it has been the sound. When I first installed it, the arched part over the axle vibrated against the heat shielf on the bottem of the tub, making for a very annoying ride. That went away once I installed my body lift. Now that I have my suspension lift on, the arched part over the axle comes in contact with my rear track bar, and i cannot use the other piece of pipe as it lays right up against the shock and rattles against it. 6 months after the install, i noticed that the muffler was starting to get some rust spots (I do live in England) which i thought was odd for a stainless exhaust. Once I move back to the states, I will be ditching the supplied piping and having it replaced by an muffler shop. All in all, it sounds good, and that makes me happy.
