Banks monster exhaust??

Hey all, thinking about upgrading to banks monster exhaust system from quadratec... Anyone have any experience with this system? I've seen you tube vids of it and love it's sound. Seems to have relatively good performance as well. Read great reviews but I just wanna see if anyone knows something that I don't about the system. Thanks
PS I'm running a 98 tj with the 4.0l I6

Cool rrlaughton, let me know how you like it.. Hopefully I can find better prices on eBay than on quadratec as well.

Have Banks on my TJ, sounds great and easy to install. Only regret is not painting the pipes with high heat paint.

Check out your local custom exhaust guys. I had mine done at Marco Muffler in Fairs Oaks, CA for $350 with a Magnaflow muffler, custom routed after 5.5" RE Tri-Link install. You may find it a good option as well. Check out how it drops out.

Are you talking exhaust systems...or all their work in the diesel world? Cuz last I knew they held the land speed record for a diesel truck or something like that. Prolly has been broken by now, but their Sidewinder Dodge Dakota held the record for a while...and it pulled its own trailer to the salt flats for its record setting run.

Didn't ask for a break down of the costs. That was out the door. No issues at all.

I have the monster exhaust, and the torque tube headers on my 2.5. Sounds great, though it didn't bolt right in like they said it would, I wouldn't change it for the world now that it's all on, and as said above, painting with High temp paint is a good idea before installing. At least the in between pipes, my muffler is still polished and shiny, the connecting pipes in between, not so much.

yeah that was a few years ago...if you look at any of the drag trucks or pull trucks, no one will touch anything gale banks does. The cost versus horsepower is way upside down.

I have the banks monster exhaust on my 97 tj 4.0.... I also have headers also. The sound is great and not overwhelming. My tj is rhino-lined also. So I think it may sound a little louder. Maybe. I have never had a complaint from neighbors or anyone. I recommend banks monster exhaust.... I also recommend some nice headers...

Thanks for the replies guys.. Lots of helpful info.. Going to do some more research to find the best price for banks monster exhaust system for my jeep. Maybe I'll check eBay and some sites other than quadratec

My Banks sounds great and was pretty straightforward to install. I was very happy with it up to about a month ago when I installed a gas tank skid plate (Kilby's). The tank skid is just wider than the stock one and because of the angle in the exhaust pipe and the front corner of the skid, the pipe is getting squished between my shock and skid on turns (I can hear it clunk). Edit: the current exaust setup is also putting a lot of undo lateral stress on the hooks that it hangs on. So I'll be going the exhaust shop route in the near future.

Hey Ajorosa, why would you want to paint the pipes with that paint?
