For the positive wires, one wire goes directly from positive post on battery to the starter. Another goes from positive post to fuse box, then from fuse box to alternator.
Then for the negative wires, one goes from the negative post to the firewall (just trace it), and the other goes to the engine block.
As for the green wire. That is a 10 gauge fusible link. If the alternator overcharges, the fusible link will quickly melt and separate. Some people will tell you that you can just use regular 10 gauge wire and that is not true. You have to use fusible link wire. You just need to splice in a few inches between the alternator and the fuse box.
Saw that you asked this question here. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
HI I know this is an old Post, but i have a question about the wiring. My starter is not working. the Starter relay clicks when i turn the iginition so it is not the ignition. could it be the wire that goes from the fuse box to the alternator? or is there a different wire I should be looking at?
Checked voltage while someone turning the key, 12.53 was the reading
