Bed Liners

So I have decided to get the Jeep repainted. I have read alot of people have had the inside of the tub painted with bedliner material. How has that worked for you that have? Does it deaden the sound at all. I really want to get rid of the carpets, and make it easy to hose out and not worry about having to pull the carpets everytime it rains. I was thinking about having the entire inside tub sppyaed right up to the lip the hardtop sits on and where the soft top channels connect. Does any one product work better than others for this use?
