bedlined hood

alright, so the hood on my tj was pretty scratched up, mostly from being used as a workbench on a regular basis, so i decided i wanted to do something different with it. so i taped it off, primed it with self etching primer, and painted the center hump with bedliner. im not sure if im in love with it or not, but figured id post some pics and see what yall think. let me know...good or bad

I like it! That's one of my next projects just waiting to find a good decal for on the hood before I do it.

Did you paint over the hood hinges? Does the hood still open alright?

Btw

BTW, what type of bedliner product did you use and was it sprayed on or rolled on? Oh, what was the cost of the product?

Thanks!

i used rustoleum bedliner spray paint. it was about 5 bucks a can, and only took half a can. i also used the rustoleum self etching primer. yeah, i painted over the hinges, i painted the whole hump up to the windshield. the hood still opens fine. the hinges are tight enough that the spray cant get to the important part. i had one run on the very front of the hood, but you cant see it unless your really looking for it. all in all it coated really well.

Nice job! I've been thinking about doing the same but with gloss black.
