Benny's of a Body Lift?

Been reading a lot of threads and no one really states the benefits of a body lift. Should I be putting one in my wrangler? Any info you guys and gals can give me on a body lift and what else I'll need to install one besides the pucks would be helpful. I've heard if you install some of the jks 1inch engine mounts it gives your drivetrain a more proper angle eliminating the need for a slip yoke kit when you do a lift. Any truth to that? Will a bl offer me more offroad capability? This is one topic I've never really tried to figure out. Let me know, thanks

body lifts are cheap and quick. they do not offer any better off road capability, they only offer more body clearance for bigger tires. i also don't like the way they look. you will have a gap between your body and frame, because the body is being spaced off the frame. 1" is generally ok, anything more starts to look obvious and raises the center of gravity.

its all personal, if you don't mind the look then its fine. but like i said, they only offer more room for tires, no more suspension flex or travel. try to see some jeeps in person that have them to get an idea of how it looks. i've known guys that did 2 and 3 inch body lifts, and regretted it later. lots of people also end up taking them off for a 1 or no body lift. also after 1 " you start running into t case shifter changes, and gas filler neck and stuff like that. can you tell i don't like body lifts???

imo a much better first mod, or cheaper lift is a budget boost, spacer on the springs.
