best deal for Bestop Trektop NX for TJ

Morris 4x4 has a 10% coupon for forum members. That takes their price down to $515 (add S&H) for the NX w/tinted windows.

Anyone know of a better deal?

Going to be getting warmer soon in MD.

Does that come with door uppers?
I've been having a hard time finding sites that offer it with door uppers. Buying the uppers separately would add on about #00 bucks
My door uppers are coming loose at the seams, so I want to just buy new ones when I buy my trektop nx...

According to their site, yes, this includes the door surrounds.

The version I'm looking at does not include half doors (or door uppers).

I went ahead and bought it, figuring it was the best deal. $515 plus S&H.

Cant wait for spring!

My OEM top will be going on the for-sale section as soon as I get pics of it.

You will want to buy the version without the uppers. When you buy that package, it includes the frames as well as the upper skin. This top is designed so someone with nothing will have everything they need right out of one box.

Since you already have the frames, you only need to buy the Bestop upper door skins (in the same color) separate and reuse the frames you have. It will save you about $150 or so.

You'll love it! I love mine. Be patient with the initial install.....and good idea waiting until spring to install it. Look up my install thread for tips!

Thanks, man. Yeah, I can't wait for the warm weather now. Came in the mail Friday. One nice, neat, pkg.

Got take some pics of my OEM softop and put it on here for sale. Help offest the expenses for the Trektop

I saw the link on this forum for the complete install. I sure hope I can hold out for the warm weather.... 2.5 - 3 months is a long wait.

That's a good idea Patrick, but I decided I want to get all new canvas & hardware. I don't think any of my hardware is OEM, including the frame for the door uppers.
Plus, I plan to sell the old top, door uppers, hardware & all, once I get my Trektop NX on there. That'll recoup a fair chunk of my cost.

So far, Quadratec is the only place I've seen the "full set" offered.

Save your money and buy yourself a Rampage Frameless soft top i just ordered mine the other day. Buy it off of JC Whitney too because I found discount codes so my entire order came to 306 for pretty much the same top as the NX.

@joshbarb2,

I have been looking into buying a soft top for my TJ, it came with a hardtop, and I really like the look of the frame less soft tops. After doing some internet searching, I was hard pressed to find a decent review of the Rampage top, I found lots of complaints about slapping sounds while driving, how inconvenient it was to access the rear, due to having to take both sides off in order to zip up the rear window again after opening it and poor workmanship.

Now that sounds really terrible as I read it, and i want to be clear that I am not trying to bash your choice, but I was wondering what you based your choice on? Perhaps you have links to more recent reviews and they have improved???

Would love to know, as I had pretty much convinced my self that Best top was really the only option

Thanks

To be honest i was looking into the NX at first but due to the price it just wasn't happening haha, so I was forced to shop around and came across the Rampage. I was skeptical at first too because I didn't know much about it so I must have researched reviews non stop and the only negative I really found is that the zippers aren't as good. Other than that i really only found pretty positive reviews via internet and forums. Its also hard finding decent pictures of the top and I happened to come across someone who posted this: https://plus.google.com/photos/11346...057?banner=pwa

It looks pretty great and I'm happy with my purchase, for 306 including shipping I think i made a good decision.

you'll need factory door surrounds and tailgate bar. you will also need the clamp-on (no drill) style header bar.

I ordered a Supertop last year, so I have a Bestop no drill header and the tailgate bar. I really wish I had gone frameless. If I round up a set of door surrounds, would that be all I'd need for the rampage frameless?

Sorry to hijack your thread, OP.

I'm pretty sure that all you would need yeah. Its literally the perfect top for me because I never had a hard top so I didn't have to order anything but the top because i naturally already have them.

What the frameless trail tops do is work around the actual roll bars of the jeep not the metal hard ware that sits over it. My top was in the same condition as yours falling apart so I really needed a new one.

What kind of jeep do you have now? soft top? soft upper doors? If you have those than this top is perfect for you haha just like me.

here are some really good pictures I found but it has hard full doors.https://plus.google.com/photos/11346...057?banner=pwa

Here's the install on this forum for the Bestop Trektop NX.

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/best...up-127226.html

This top is not like the rampage that others are talking about. The Rapmpage top is around $306 as someone above quoted. I just bought the NX for $515 (discounted from Morris4x4).

if those full doors are actually in good shape and for a tj they wont go for less than $500 maybe if your lucky. The Trektop comes with everything you need.

PS-shipping is also $250 FYI

On our forum, the discount is the word "wranforum". When you check out, enter this word in the "promo code" section.

This discount is listed on the first page, on the right hand side. Look for the Morris 4x4 advertisement logo.

Thanks
