Best deal on Mopar hardtop?

In the not-to-distant future, I'm gonna replace the POS hardtop I have now with a factory Mopar one-piece. Just wondering who knows who that has the best deal. Thanks

keep an eye on that evil site called craigslist. i picked a factory on there for 400! back glass was busted but even when i replace it i'll be below a grand for the whole thing. i've seen them since then for around 600 also. also have your local parts store call their scrap yards, never know what they may find for ya.

Yeah, I did mucho wheel-n-dealin' on craigslist when I was in NC, huge market up there and many jeep parts. Here in LA though, jeeps are very far and few in-between, and parts for them (especially craigslist) are non-existent. Sucks! My town is roughly 300,000 people, I've seen maybe 15 other jeeps of various make/model. Phooey!

If you are really considering buying a new MOPAR top I suggest checking out the Bestop 2-piece hard tops. Its pretty much a targa top for your jeep. Expensive as all hell but still around the same as you would pay for a new mopar top. But keep searching craigslist for a used one!

See, my current top is one like that. It's not a Bestop, it's from a company that made them before Bestop got ahold of the molds or something like that. It's a nice top, good quality and construction but it's old and doesn't seal off well. I get alot of leaks during rainstorms, its cracked in several stress points and doesn't have features like rear-view wiper, rear window defrost, etc. I hardly ever take the targa-top part off bc it's an act of congress to get it to seal off! Just ready to get a nice top that will seal off.

Eh, I suppose I could try, but doubt anyone would trade a nice mopar or bestop for what I have. It isn't wrecked, just has some defects from being old. lol

There are several 2 piece top on the market. Bestop, Steel Horse and Rally top. I would not recommend any of them based on posts I have read. It is difficult at times to get them to seal properly.

Jp90Talon, You still around? it's a few years later, how do you like your Bestop HT now? I'm in the market.
