What type of shocks? Just replacements or are you really looking to upgrade to a higher end shock?

Well I have a 3.5 skyjacker lift and desperately need new shocks. I don't want to stay with skyjacker and am looking around. I'd go all out for shocks but I hope to go to a 5.5 lift within 8 months. Wish I could wait and buy the shocks when I lift it more but I am so over having worn out shocks. Any recommendations?

If you get Bilstein 5100 shocks, make sure the Bilstein dealer gets you the specific model 5100 shocks that are valved specifically for the Wrangler. Their standard 5100 shocks are valved too stiffly for the Wrangler.

In that same price range, the OME (Old Man Emu) Nitrocharger shocks ride well and handle great. That's what is on my TJ and I'm impressed by them, especially how well they work on rough desert washboard roads at speed.

I was told that EMU won't go up to 3.5" lift.

Whoever told you that was wrong. My OME Nitrochargers are properly sized for my 4" lift.

Hey guys I also need advice on shocks. I don't really want stock but I also only do nature rides and mostly it's just my everyday driver but want shocks that will still hold up. Thanks for any help you can give.

If you do a little research, you will find that OME Nitrocharger shocks come in different sizes for different lift heights. The following link is a decent source for OME shocks and it shows two different heights available for OME Nitrocharger shocks. The shorter height covers anything under 4". The taller height is for 4" or taller.

Just throwing this out there for you...there is a vendor over on jf (not sure if he is on here as well) that goes by the name Kolak. He has a pretty killer deal on bilsteins going on for the month of March. $289 for a set of four shocks w/free shipping. Can't really beat that. I just ordered mine today after wanting them for a while now.

Go for rancho 9000xls. Badass ADJUSTABLE shocks and you can get them for $200 right now! 300 up front with a 100 mail in rebate! I just ordered mine, why not get a shock you can dial in whatever ride you want?
