wet okole makes some of the best seat covers around, but they are pricey. they are made in the USA, so not only are they a quality product, but the money goes into our economy instead of china's. i am not sure where the rugged ridge covers are made though.
Andrew, I had Bestop's covers for 5-6 years when I was still running the factory seats and they fit like a glove... you could barely tell they were seat covers.
The very last seat cover I'd want on a TJ that has its top off much would be Wet Okole's. First, the neopreme is not waterproof... it'll soak up perspiration and start smelling, and if it rains and you don't wipe the seats off quickly or cover them, the rain will soak into the neopreme... and you'll get a "wet okole" unless you sit on a towel. Not to mention their nylon covers fade quickly and unevenly if they see much sun. Black turns purple, red turns pink and so on. Yes it is true, neopreme is not waterproof... not even the very best "closed cell" neopreme like from Rubatex who is a top-of-the-line maker of neopreme wetsuit material is waterproof.
If I were buying new seat covers and if they would fit my Bestop Trailmax seats (they don't), I'd go with another set of Bestop's. They're pretty nice for the $$$ and at least mine fit snug like a glove.

The fronts and rear are under $300. I think closer to $225 is what I paid for mine through Quadratech. Sand and mud come right off. A vacuum and wet rag will clean them easily. Nice tight fit. I would definately reccommend these.

the JC Whitney's ARE neoprene. neoprene is used as a wet suite material because they insulate but still breathe. they allow water to absorb into them and then uses the water to insulate your body from the colder water... just a little bit more on the neoprene subject.

In the case that you want "waterproof"...dont get neoprene. Like crazy said they absorb the water/moisture. So if it rains on your seats...they will become wet. If your sweating on a hot summer day...they will be wet. If your dog pees on them..they will be wet. Dont ask how I know. Neoprene also sunfades...your nice black neoprene will eventually be navy blue.
If I dont just buy the Corbeau seats that I want then my next choice is Bestop, handsdown. Ive heard and read only good about them. And their cheaper than the neoprenes.
