Best Springs/coil to use for lift?

Hey everybody my jeep rides like sheit, cheap lift kit. Im planning on upgrading the shocks to rancho rs9000xls. Also going to do the steering stabilizer at that time. What I really would like to know is whether or not I should get new springs when I do that and if so does it matter which brand I get? What is the best?

Currie/Savvy, AEV, OME, BDS and more...all good options. If you pick the correct spring rate and spring length for the weight of your vehicle (winch, bumper, cargo, etc), use good shocks with properly extended bumpstops, the ride will be just fine.

I found a set of 6 month used AEV progressive springs for 4.5 in of lift $150 for the set I've been reading and I want my jeep to be able to ride smooth, hence the rancho 9000xls, my question is will I be able to get a smooth ride with the AEVs? I really like the progressive idea with adjustable shocks because I feel like it would massively improve cornering at higher speeds on a soft shock setting

Just to give you a heads up Rancho is doing a great promotion right now.
Buy 4 9000XL and get $100 back via mail in rebate.
I just got a set of 4 for $200 after rebate and shopping around.
Can't beat that!

They have sets of 4 Rancho 9000xl for $299.95 with no tax and no shipping
then print and use the Rancho rebate form for another $100 back via mail-in.

Ordered mine last Tuesday and got them Friday!

Just a heads up when I bought the shocks, I was unable to get the $20 off as it was an item already on sale.
But hey I still end up paying $200 for a set of nice shocks

I run bilstein 5100's now and the ride is amazing compared to my old twin tubes. Got the whole set at 300 shipped free. As for springs, my ome hd's were nice and so far my re 3.5's are nice too. Aev and currie make well reviewed progressive coil springs at a fair price as well. If your old springs aren't sagging you may try just upgrading the shocks and see how you like it from there.
