Best Top Trektop????

Anyone have one of these? I'm looking to put it on my 06' LJ. They look real slick and a heck of a lot cheaper than those California Tops. Anything better out there?

good question I have the same 06 LWB and I was looking at the same top. Ive sone some reading where the side windows dont detach but the rear window still rolls up. Also there is no hardware used it uses your cage that is already on the jeep. Sounds like it would be a good product. Fast on and fast off.

It reminds me a lot of the Viking tops that i've seen. I Like what i've seen about the viking. The removable windows, with a sleeve to put them in the top at all times is a nice bonuse to me.
I'm curious to see which is the better top.

The Viking is designed to all fold up into a "pouch" on top and can be used as a safari type top. The BestTop cannot do that from what I've read. The windows can be zipped out I believe.

Last I heard though there was a design problem with the Viking. Not sure if that has been resolved yet or not.

I have no first hand knowledge of either top though so take that for what it's worth... (not much)

The Viking side and rear windows can be removed and stowed under a flap on the top or just flipped up under the flap on the top.

The Bestop side windows cannot be removed, but, on the other hand, I believe that the top section over the front seats can be rolled back like a sunroof.

I've had a Viking for over two years now and really like it. Quiet, leakproof, absolutely no problems.

There was no design problem with the Viking but an odd manufacturing defect which affected a few of the early tops. This has been fixed for quite a while now.
