Hey guys,

Thinkin bout getting my jeep repainted black because the paint has faded.. Going to get it scrapped off and fully repainted a black color... so whats your opinion on the best black color for a jeep? some people have told me to get Jet black or metallic black...

Doesnt matter on the color as much as the quality of the paint. I only use one of 3 brands...Dupont, PPG, and House of Kolor

I like flat black with a nice coat of clear on top.

Once you go black you never go back.

The last color I'd paint a Jeep that is driven on the street too is flat black. Gloss black yes, not flat.

I vote Matte black. This process has come a long way. You can have a clear coat over it to keep the finish clean.

At this point in time.. While I like flat black.. I think gloss black is a better choice if doing a whole vehicle

Metallic black looks dusty/dirty all the time. Flat paint us softer than gloss. Even with a clear coat over it, assuming you would also use a flat clear coat. Gloss would be my recommendation for those reasons.
