Best way to lift my Jeep 4"?

I'm finally buying bigger tires for my Jeep, and I'm going to need to lift it. Theres no form of lift on it right now, and I'm trying to fit 33"s under it. Whats the best way to lift it?

depends on what your looking to spend. I run a 2" BB with a 1.25" BL with 33's. No problems. Or research everything on lifts. Dont buy the first one you see because it was cheap.

I see "bb" every where, but just what the hell is a "bb"? I always assumed it was budget boost, but then what the hell qualifies as a budget boost?

My standard answer to this question:

You now have 4.25"-4.50" of smooth riding, nice flexing lift, with plenty of clearance, and no vibes for $650 to your front door. But you still need shocks.

Just my .02 since I have experience with this setup on 3 TJ's now and it's about the best way I know to squeeze the most lift on there, get a quality ride, without breaking the bank and without putting crap on your jeep.
But it's not RE or OME which appears to be worth lots of points at the mall.
If money is no object RE or RK is what I would get.

I wish I could have done that, but I'm not made of money like most people. Maybe if I lived in a crappy little apartment and was single without kids, I would have one sweet Jeep. But Ill settle for a house with lots of property and no neighbors

Thats awesome. With FT shocks thrown in it came out to $830, which is around what I was expecting to spend. All of this should work just fine with an '02 TJ?

i would install the "DELUXE TJ/LJ WRANGLER KIT" from DPG offroad.
http://www.dpgoffroad.com/TJ_LJ_OME_Kits.htm
with that you have enough room for 33s.
the OME suspension in this kit offers the best ride you can have in a TJ.

Damn, and that one is only $855. But I'd still need an MML, right?

the two red things on the pic are the 1" JKS motor mount spacers (MML).
this kit comes with everything you need incl. a set of JKS front sway bar disconnects.

EDIT:
the OME springs are available in two different strengths. if you have a big and heavy spare tire or a hardtop and a winch in the front i would buy the HD springs. they gave me in real 2.75" of lift with my 35" spare tire and front bumper and winch.

Absolutely. I put that combo on a 98, 99, and 04 TJ and doing another 98 in a few weeks. Like I said above, it's no RE or RK or OME, but I sure can't tell what I'm missing b/c I've got great flex and ride on the trail and an outstanding ride on the road/hwy. Lots of folks say FT has "sagging" issues on rear coils. I have yet to see this and I've run it for over a year and it's been great. Sag would have revealed itself by now IMO. I suppose it may have been true in the past BUT, I've yet to run across somebody that actually experienced this themselves, first hand, it's always somebody they know, just sayin. And again, if I was made of money, and like orange said, if I had no kiddos, I'd have gone RE or RK. But, really have no complaints so I'm not so sure that's true anymore.

That kit DOEs includes the JKS MM risers/lift. The DPG/OME is nice and will accommodate 33's, but IMO doesn't give you the same clearance from what I can tell. But, OME does offer different rate/height coils but at different price levels.

edit- looks like nico answered that one already.

Oh I didn't even notice those haha. Looks like that is going to be the kit I'm going with. Do you know how long that "sale price" is running for, or is that the price all the time? I won't be able to buy this til my next paycheck (damn the military and their biweekly pay) so I'm hoping it'll be the same price on the 15th.

EDIT: Actually, its a toss up. I can't decide what I want to go with haha.

Either way, both are good IMO. Will just come down to total lift and tire clearance gained and total price to your door.

Wouldn't one of these 3.5" RE kits get you to 33s for about the same price?

http://www.4x4groupbuy.com/store/rub...ocks-p-41.html

http://www.4x4groupbuy.com/store/rub...ocks-p-42.html

And without the BL.

BINGO. And let's not forget the rear UCA's needed for the SYE. That's what made my decision for me.

This is just for the driveline. Doesn't show UCA's but you can visualize the pinion angle and how it is affected by the DS angle and length.
http://4xshaft.com/driveline101.html

And here's the front end

But beyond that, best thing to do is lay under the heep with a cold beer and study everything. Priceless.

I went with the 3" FT kit to avoid having vibe issues and also to avoid having to buy the SYE, DS, and UCAs usually associated with taller lifts. The extra inch of clearance was gained by a PA body lift. You don't need to do a MML with a BL, you just have to relocate your fan shroud, which is easily done. I also went with some OME long travel monotube shocks that Scout sold me. 33" Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radials round out the package for a good looking, good off-road performing Jeep. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to install ANY of these goodies as I'm laid up for awhile. I've heard good things about the FT lifts, and the sagging issues of the past are now non-issues with their springs. I'll be sure to post how the build goes and let you know how I like the ride.....

Good luck with your decisions......

OME is definitely a good brand. it has a great reputation and will definitely last a long time. i think most OME lifts give you 2" to 2.5". as for needing med or hard coils, that will depend on how much weight you have on your jeep or how much weight you plan on adding. if you call Dirk at dpgoffroad he can help you out with everything including helping you with your coil choice.
