Cool winch, love the look! Looks pretty heavy duty. Thanks for sharing, you've given me something to think about, big and industrial look instead of compact and nifty.

Anyone else out there with cool options for a winch on stock bumper?

Here is a pic of my Warn M8000. I used a Tomken raised winch plate on my stock bumper, new tow hooks and grade 8 hex bolts and washers.

Any Jeep size winch and any Jeep size mounting plate can be mounted onto the factory bumper. There's nothing unusual about it, you don't need a special bumper for a winch.

Now that is a nice clean look. Thanks for sharing. Are you happy with it, anything you'd do different. I really like how it tucks away nice and tight.

Does anyone know why the stock front bumper comes with 6 holes drilled in the front face between the two bumper pads?

More of Jeep being frugal on the build line. The bumper is set up for a multitude of options. Like the full plastic covers on the newer version. The center mount lamps on the JK's, and the overseas market versions. Same steel bumper drilled for all options. Then it can be used on any jeep being built and the option(s) added.
