Bestop bikini top and winshield channel?

Hey all, I really want a bikini top to put on my jeep to keep the wind a blowing when my hardtops off, but I have to buy the best top windshield channel with it, does anyone use this top or windshield channel? How do you like it? Do I have to take off the channel to put my hardtop back on or are they interchangeable? Id hate to have to unbolt it and take it off everytime I need to put my hardtop on...... Any feedback?

Ok that means the header will be the no-drill design that clamps onto the top of your windshield frame, much like your hard top does. That means it has to come off to install either a hard top or soft top.

Consider the Safari top too instead of the standard length Bikini top. The Safari top's added length keeps the same "look" but protects any passengers in the back seat, if you have one, and will also protect anything in the back if you get caught in the rain.

Very cool, thanks for your service too! I spent about a year at Keesler going to school back in the late sixties, I lived in the triangle area.

Haha, the triangle area.... so nice now since they rebuilt all the dorms over there since katrina, the the BX is a monster.... But yet I still live in the crumy permanent party dorms that are old as dirt and moldy haha, gotta love that government!

-Thanks for the input, Quadratec claims less than 1 hour install on the windshield channel.

The one I am looking at claims to be the Safari Bikini, according to the picture I get decent coverage for the back. So I will have to think before dropping my credit card down at work tonight :P. Unless I find something else I Just cant live without on quadratec haha. Too nice of weather down here not to be topless....

I have the safari bikini and channel header. I've also had the bikini (non safari) with head and I really enjoyed it. 4WD has a deal where if you buy a bestop bikini you get a free windshield channel header. Something I went for. It takes me less than 10 min to put on the windshield channel. Very very easy. I would definitely recommend the safari. I also has a bestop deck cover, as I don't have my backseat, to keep my backseat area from getting flooded again lol.

There are two header styles, drill or no-drill, so be sure it matches the style of Safari or Bikini top you buy because they are totally different and a top made for one won't work with the other. 2003 and newer can only use the no-drill style, 2002 and older can use either style.

When they say less than an hour that is very generous-my no drill header is 2 1/2 inch bolts and the top has a few straps to install-with most tops I have found it is easier to start at the back and loosely attach-move to the front and align or tuck or start whatever than return to the back and tighten.

wtf! I recently bought a safari top and header for a combined price of about $135, and I could have got it for $77??? i could have saved a few bucks there...guess I should do my research from now on.
