Bestop Halftop

Does anyone have one? Like/Dislike? Does the soundbar have to be removed for top installation??
Thanks in advance.

I think it looks awesome...

I'm waiting on a wrap around windjammer from Bestop, so I'll have something similar.

I'm 98% sure the soundbar doesn't have to be removed. I've heard of some that have moved it to in front of the center roll bar...

I've been looking into one of these, I think it looks rugged, and that rocks. But I've never seen anyone take one don when they want to go topless, has anyone had any experience with them?

my understanding is that its like a sunrider top and you have to take it completely off to go topless...I finally located a Spice colored one since you can't get them from Quadratec and was hoping the sounbar didnt have to be moved b/c really I don't feel like doing that....

Give it a couple hours, I suspect Geoff will see this thread and will be able to answer your question.

From what I have seen the sound bar doesn't have to be removed for the half top but it will be on the outside . I was thinking of moving my sound bar to the front of the center bar just to get sound right above my head.

The HalfCab is pretty much a WrapAround Windjammer, a Bikini Top and a Duster combined together. The difference is that with the HalfCab, they are sewn together, so there are no gaps.

We do not make this for an 03-06 TJ. This is due partly to the change in rollbar materials (porous foam and cloth covering means that your roll bars are not really meant to get wet). But mostly because the change from "sound bar" to those "speaker pods." You can't make this top work with those triangular shaped pods in the corners.

From 97-02, it works fine. It wraps around the front part of the Sports Bar, and drops right down. Your speakers will be behind the half cab, out in the weather. But this is fine.

The top of the HalfCab can be flipped back. But it's not a fancy hinge thing, like a Sunrider. It's more like just taking a Bikini top off. The difference with the Halftop is that your Bikini part is sewn to a the Windjammer part. So you can just tuck it behind your seats, or roll the top part back and secure it to the roll bar.

If bestop made a soft top that had a clean looking and functional way to run without the back and side windows and doors, it'd sell. I made my own with some bungee chords at the corners.. but I think if you could zip out the corner pieces and there was something that held onto the rollbar at the corners to keep the top from moving it'd be a nice piece of engineering.. Soft top/ Bikini top all in one.

I have a bikini and wind jammeer and touneau. Looks kind of like a pick up with a deck. There's a gap behind the doors but didn't seem to be a problem during rain. The sound bar does not have to come off.
