Bestop Trail Cover

Have people had positive experiences with the Bestop Trail Cover (full door coverage, 2000)? I live in an area where it could be clear skies one moment and storming the next..makes for difficult planning if i have the top down and/or doors off. How long does it take to put this top up and take down?..and how much room does it take up when folded (e.g., room for 3 people and cover inside)? I noticed the instructions say 15 minutes to install, but I'm guessing that's a conservative estimate. I thought I also read in another post that the top can't be used with the soft top, but I wasn't clear if that indicated with the soft top down or not. Thx, JB

x2

I love mine. If it looks like rain I leave the top down and doors off and go to work anyway. It takes a couple of minutes to throw it on when I get there. If you fold it and roll it up it goes in the bag it comes with, and is about 12"x18" with a handle.

Dare- how rain proof is this thing? It looks like a great solution for someone (me) who has a hard top, but doesn't want to buy a soft top...

Well, if it's on there, the inside ain't gettin wet!!! It is water PROOF. Watch out for cheaper covers that say they are water RESISTANT. That means you will get swamp butt.

Because of this thread, I JUST ordered one of these tops off of eBay for $120 brand new. I was originally looking at getting a soft top for the summer and leaving the hardtop in the garage, but being in the Army means I travel alot and having two big tops to cart around isn't really an option. Now I've decided to get a bikini top and this trail cover for the summer. Thanks for this thread!!

Thanks for the info. I'm sure it's more water proof than my current softop.

I think I may just pick one of these up too. Hell I never have the doors on the damn thing until it's to cold to drive. I may just leave the softop off and use this in the summer months.
