BestTop Rear Tire Carrier?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the BestTop rear tire carrier. I am getting ready to buy something to haul a spare 33" and like the idea of it. No need to swing an extra carrier out of the way or spend $600 to do it like the bumper combos I see. I already have a Warn rear bumper...just not the right one. I also think my wife will appreciate it better also...since she occassionally drives it. Any input would be great....Thanks!!

Refresh my memory. Does the BestTop have a spindle on the bumper or does it mount to the body of the Jeep?

it mounts like the OR-FAB one does through the body, but the bestop one swings open when you open the tail gate... they are attached i believe

I thought of getting one too, make sure you post up how it works out if u decide to get it im curious

The body mounted tire carrier is one of those arguments like short arm or long arm lift.

A lot of people have had issues with tub cracking from those body mounted tire carriers. Some haven't. Just something to keep in the back of your mind.

I just installed the bestop bumper and tire carrier.. its linked to the tail gate and Im real happy so far...

I'm running one right now with a 33" on it. Works great, mounts through the tub and swings open with the tailgate. I want to replace it with the OR-FAB swing away jerry can carrier though to get the extra fuel. Just cant bring myself around to drop another $600 right now, been spending money left and right on this damn thing!
