Better performance

Hi all bear with me (Newbie) I know the answers are here somewhere just havent figured out where. So I will ask the question and the answere would be great and the info on how to get that thread would be good too. I am wondering if performance air intakes really boost power I already have a Gibson header on 97 TJ 4.0 and also considering a cat back

I second that, if 75% of bolt on parts worked as advertised, jeep would bolt them on at the assembly line.

B) 2012 Pentastar equipped wrangler
C) Buy a sports car

I have a superchip, K & N air intake and banks catback exaust in my 6. The superchip has a choice for high octane fuel or regular and I set it to high and run premium. (not a dailey driver) I think my jeep runs great and maybe that is partly due to the combo of these upgrades, but all these items advertise BIG HP gains and they dont come even close to delivering. Total investment per HP would be very dissapointing. About $1200. Small engine manufacturing were involved in a lawsuit about how they rated HP on lawnmowers etc and it was determined that the HP they advertised was peak (just before the engine blew) They lost and now most advertise torque ratings.

I have a banks air intake and dynomax exhaust and throttle body spacer. Performance is not as advertised but my jeep runs great and sounds and performs amazing. I get 20 mph on the highway I have a 2006 six cylinder. Exhaust gives it a deep sound and the throttle body spacer does virtually nothing but it makes a nice little whistle when accelerating hard
