BF AT's White Letters?

I'm getting some new tires on my stock Jeep after my wreck....finally. I've heard it's, for lack of a better term, stupid to get the white letters on the outside. I have stock rims if that matters. I don't really get to see them then choose, ya know....

Just looking for opinions

White letters out or in us just a preference. I think it makes the tires look more like old school white walls, that's why I like them in.

Multiple threads on this. Most here will say in. I normally prefer out, but it depends on the color of the Jeep.
Many will also say to put them in because the sidewalls get scuffed up on rocks, etc, but if you're not offroading too much then it's not as much of a concern.
Just my .02 - but since everything's on sale at Christmas, it's probably only worth .01

Yep, up to you. You might get a bit of extra traction in the rocks using the letters when your sidewalls are up against the rocks but it'll look bad when you get it home.

It might look good out on my blue paint. I'll black em out when I get some black rims. I worked out a deal and I'm getting 4 for the price of 2...Merry Christmas to me....

Hankooks are awesome, because that H and K really grab the rocks.

Sorry - that just made me smile!

if its not going to see mud or get the sidewalls worn from rocks, i'd put the white letter out.

my preference is white letters in. if BFG wants me to advertise for them like that they need to give me the tires.

I had these tires put on a month or so ago and meant to tell them i wanted to have the white wall in, oops i forgot.... The white wall out isn't that bad, i actually kinda like it.

If your jeep is blk on blk with blacked out lenses and such ide say go for white wall in, other than that, maybe try letters out.

I actually like it both ways. I told them black out, b/c the prev. tires were white out, and I wanted to change it. but on BFG's white out looks fine.

I have stock rims and have the white letters facing out but if I were to ever change to black rims I would definitely not have the letters showing.

I have the white out and black wheels..I don't mind the look as it is now, but blackout would look better..the white letters get stained up and have been no where near as white as when I got the tires.

haha nah, the front fender dents were from a pine tree on an earlier occasion . I did tear the fender flares up a little more on the deer recovery mission though. It wasn't roadkill

Looks good man. Just make sure after you go off-roading to make sure to use like Comet or something to keep them white after you wash the car or else they will look bad. Trust me from experience.

I've always had good luck with "Bleache-White" tire cleaner spray and a hard bristle brush. It also works well getting smushed bugs off the front of a white BMW that was just driven over 250 km/h on the autobahn

Mine are white letters in. I just liked the look better on a black jeep with black wheels.

I say white in, but mine are retreads. Bridgestone sidewalls with GoodYear Wrangler MT tread design.

It's your decision, you can always change it.

I've been looking at replacing those, it can get expensive. Any cheap alternatives?

Paint them Krylon Fusion or Rustoleum for plastic. There is also the heat gun method.
Here is a link that includes both methods. There are a lot more threads on this.http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/pain...t=faded+flares
