Big Thanks to Geoff @ Bestop

A big thanks to Geoff @ Bestop - for helping us out with one of their over sized rear tire carriers for Project SkipWheat!

We were in a severe time crunch with this project and we just didn't have time to put together a custom rear Tire Carrier - Geoff knew this and knows how we like to use and recommend the Bestop Rear Tire carriers to our cusotmers - he said if we needed any help to let him know, and well we reached out and a carrier was on it's way.

Project SkipWheat is a full custom build we performed for a member of the Military who was on his 3rd tour in Iraq. With Geoff's help we were able to deliver the completeld vehicle on time, and according to build specs - which required a light weight, rattle free, durable spare tire carrier.

Thanks again to Geoff@Bestop!

Here are some pictures, with a few modifications we had to do to accomodate the 8 lug wheels with deep backspacing..

Check out their website. It's bead porn.

Nice, Geoff from Bestop really came through for you on that! And X2 on those welds, whoever did them is a talented welder.
When you have a choice, buy American.

I must agree. I wish that I could weld like that. I am glad there are so many people out there who know a good weld when they see them.

Hi Dave!

This thread popped up while I was on vacation and I missed it.

Super glad you guys got this put together for that soldier. It sounds like a great project. And I'm glad Bestop could help.

You guys do some nice work.

The welding beads are always a how stopper, but it's more than that - it's really neat what a small dedicated group can produce. Here's hoping you have tons of success - but not too much. We compete on some of those products.
