Billet grill

I an looking to order a billet grill that is the easiest to install, I don't want to drill holes in my body..any suggestions / links to get one? I looked into rugged ridge inserts but i hear they wear down paint ant lead to rust, don't want that issue

I just got these 97 - 05 Jeep Wrangler TJ Billet Grille Grill 7pc They have them on ebay by the same place but charge shipping. Direct from the web site, there was no shipping. They are very easy to install. I painted them body color,

I got some of those that I took off my Jeep the first day I got it home. There was no area to release the hood so the previous owner would stick a screw driver between the billet grill and the grill opening. Scratched the heck out of it. I never thought of painting them black though.

Is your hood latch different than my 03? Once the side latches are undone the hood pops up to the safety latch. The safety latch can be reached in the gap between the hood and grille shell.

It's easy to install. There is a tab/clip that attaches to the top and bottom of the grille with a nut on the back and a bolt through the front. You bolt the clips on the grille the install. The way to do it is to put the bottom clip on tight and leave the top one loose so you can spin it around in the opening. Slide the grille into the opening. The tab goes into the opening behing the opening. The grille slats rest on the top and bottm of the opening. Work right/left or left/right. Reach in through the next opening and spin the top clip around and tighten the bolt. For the end opening, remove the headlight and pull the rubber flap back so you can reach the top tab on the last one.

Good. The only thing I would do if I were you is hit the screw head that hold the clips with some paint. They rust fast.
