Bilstein Germany 4"suspension lift?

I just purchased a 97 tj with a 4" Bilstein lift on it .It feels a little sloppy when you are in a curve or bumps on the road. This is my first jeep, Is this normal or do they all drive that way with a lift. Its not stiff at all.

Is this brand of lift a good one?

Bilstein would be the shocks, and that alone could be the problem. Take a pic of your lift and see if it can be identified.

Its sways back in forth.You can get on the side and rock it so ez just by pushing it . Ithink the shocks are bad?

which bilstein shocks do you have?
how old are the shocks?

Nope if your shocks are bad it would continuously bounce up and down all the time. i'm pretty sure your swaybars are disconnected.

Tripp they must use alot more salt there because mine is a 99 and has very little rust on the frame and I'm in the north east.

yes they shower the roads in salt over the winter.

I'm looking for a good liner to paint the stuff on there. I heard there were few that virtually melt the rust into paint or something. Any info is welcome.

I don't know but a good wire brush and some rustoleum could clean it up nice.

i always used fertan rust converter before i paint things new:

Just do this. Park your Jeep with one front wheel on curb. Follow the bar that runs under the plastic cover on your bumper, to the end, inside the wheel well of the tire thats on the curb. If the bar it not connected to the other piece, its disconnected. If the bar is still connected to the link that its attached to at the end of the bar, its not the swaybar. I don't think I have ever heard someone say their ride in the jeep was too soft If the sway bar is still connected, ill trade you my factory Rubi suspension for your soft cushion 4" lift
