BL and Engine Lift???

I am also thinking about installing a 1.25" BL. After reading about them it's recommended that I also do a 1" Engine Lift...

I always have had trucks and did 6-8" lifts, I have a 4.5 lift on my Jeep now and just want a little bit extra, but I have never dealt with a BL or Engine Lifts before. I want to do it the right way the first time...

So, has anyone else done the engine lift?

Thanks for all your info...

Wow, I'm really surprised that I have had no response to this thread about BL and Engine Lifts... Has no one done these when putting on a BL? I see so many people on WF that have BL...

I'm going with a JKS on my Rubicon. I had one on my last Jeep and plan on doing the same to this one. If you go to youtube and type JKS body lift you'll see a good post by ROKMEN. Hope that helps

I also have JKS 1.25" BL and Brown Dog 1" MML installed. If you don't do the MML you may have to move your radiator shroud up so the fan will not hit it.

I did not have to do that since i did it all at once. Good luck.

I have a MML ( Motor Mount Lift), but no BL... yet... I'm waiting to do other junk first, like complete my lift... then the BL and TT ( Tummy Tuck) will be done.

The BL +MML combo will keep things in perspective at the radiator, but I think you may need slight adjustments to your T-case linkage.. not sure. Don't go over 1.25" BL....

I built my own MML using this link.....

I have a 1.25" Zone BL and 1" Zone mml...

the benefit of this is to not have to run a tcase drop...some still need a minimal one but others dont (i'm one of the don'ts)

Most Bl's are pretty much the same...just get a new kit and dont get used ones. You can get a Zone kit from Allen at AOR (on the board here) for around 85 bucks shipped...

If you have the money, Brown Dog makes the best motor mount lifts because they're actual mounts...if you dont have the extra 100 bucks then a normal mml spacer would be fine. Like i said, its main benefit is to get rid of the tcase drop and the other added benefit is that if you do both together you wont have to mess with the radiator or shroud...

I did not have to adjust the tcase linkage on mine. Until I did the sye and tummy tuck yesterday. I am waiting for the Novak cable shifter to come in to get it to shift again.

Should also add that i'm currently not using the bracket for my tcase linkage that came with my zone bl...

it creeps up during normal road driving now so i'll be installing it next weekend which should fix that...just need to make sure it'll allow me to fully engage 4lo (which it should)

So, i'd recommend installing the provided shift bracket...otherwise you'll get some creep in the lever like mine which drives me nuts at stops becuase it rattles my floor

Normal mml spacer's are about 40 bucks...brown dog mounts are about 140 bucks...they're super nice though so like i said, if you have the extra cash go with the brown dogs.

If you want to do it right the first time....then go with the Brown Dog MML. You will not regret it a bit. Good luck.
