Black bed liner, too hot in summer?

I am going to bed line the interior of my jeep. The guys at the work said the black will be too hot in the summer, (my top is always down),and with the sun beating on it all day, it will be too hot.

Any thoughts?

Between the sun and extra heat from the transmission it will be hot.

It shouldn't be an issue. If you think about a truck bed that is exposed 24/7, your jeep should fine.

But you don't drive with your bare feet in a truck bed

Threw some rubber floor mats in and it makes a difference. That's the best thing to do. You could also buy a SpiderWebShade. I installed mine and it makes a world of difference when you get in the Jeep after sitting in a parking lot all day.

First driving barefoot is illegal, second bed liner or bare floor the trans tunnel gets really hot. I bed lined and left the front carpets in mine.

Just get some rubber jeep mats and you'll be fine. I live at the beach and we drive barefoot sometimes.

No it's not.

Driving Barefoot

OP you'll be fine. I go barefoot all the time and have had no problems. Even without bedliner in there it's fine.
