black ops edition wrangler for 2011

Basically not a whole lot more than what you get on a stock one, but I figured I'd still share it with everyone. I know a few of us are xbox 360/ps3 nerds. Kinda funny though, this jeep makes an appearance in a video game taking place during the cold war era. lol.

thinking they could have added some additional lighting or a .50 cal gun on top. something other then basically a sticker to distiguish it from other blacked out jks

I'm all for a gun turret, armor plating, black out drive with infra-red headlamps and a complimentary set of PVS-7 Night Vision Goggles.

Video game sold separately.

lol sorry. just wanted the tj perspective on it. Since I'll never be able to afford it, I'll be looking forward to the game only.

oh come on man. I posted this just to get a rise out of everyone and see their opinions. I own a tj and love it. I would have posted it in the jk section if I owned one. and just out of curiousity why is the jk weak? With the right setup I believe they are just as capable if not more capable than a lot of tj's.

Might as well just get a Rubi, black it out yourself, and get custom decals that match the ones on this one. Otherwise, Do want, I wish I could afford it, haha.

Weak. Decal and floor mat "special editions" suck. Some marketing yahoo at Chrysler thought it would be good idea. Wrong.

Anyone seen in a black ops Jeep should be shunned and possibly sterilized.

Again, you do all realize it has the rubicon drivetrain right?

We should add it to the "Hunting" list with the H2!

man, I don't know why some of you guys are hating on the back ops JK so much??... as said already, it IS a rubicon, and the video game "call of duty: modern warfare 2" and all the games before it have been best selling games every year. Jeep might be able to hook some people with this "limited edition" that they might not normally attract to their dealerships. I say sell a million of these things if it keeps Chrystler in business and keeps the Rubicon model in production!.. but, I have to admit, it would be really funny to get the optional .50 cal gun turret, and the whole concept is a little corny... But I'd take one just for the Rubi equipment!

I'd be happy if they did a 'Battlefield: Bad Company 2' edition, or maybe Battlefield 3. I might do that myself though.

completely agree. I know treyarch/chrysler gave away one of these to at least one person in the raffle they had. I dunno about you guys, but if this was given to me, I'd drive it with no hesitation. On a second note. why are jk's getting bashed? I'd probably have one if I could afford one. IMO a jeep is a jeep, for the most part, all jeeps are capable offroad compared to many other suv's, trucks, etc.

...this may be an exception for the srt8 cherokee (are those even 4wd by the way?)

I read that press release myself, and am HIGHLY SKEPTICAL that it has Rubicon parts. Why would they shoot themselves in the foot by selling that vehicle for far less than the Rubicon price?I'm calling B.S.,and will believe it when I see it.If that were the case, all educated buyers would buy the game nerd version instead of the Rubicon for a much higher price-it's simple math!

'Im holding out for the brightly colored orange, green, and purple JK with neon under-car lights and rediculously huge gold fender flares. Otherwise known as the World of Warcraft Edition.

I hear it's has a newly re-designed manual transmission that grinds a lot.

Rubicon base price is 29,245. Press release quotes 30,625 for the Black Ops. Am I missing something here?

Hey a Jeep is a Jeep. Who cares what model or edition it is. I think that its kind of cool that they are making this Jeep, even if I wouldn't buy one...

Fair enough, I didn't realize it was a Rubicon. It's not AS bad as I thought it was, but still cheezy.
