Black Turn Signals

For a while I have wanted those nice black turn signals. i have heard of that niteshade spray but i really don't want to do that. i was wondering if anyone knew where I could get just a tinted lens for the front and back turn signals?

Ugh, that looks terrible! I would spend the $10 and niteshade them if you want that smoked look. I think that tint looks terrible up front though.

And Neil F. I'm burlington NJ

The down side of applying niteshade over stock amber lenses is the resulting color is a purple/red color with the bulb lit.

Not only that....you'll ruin your originals.
If you like the black ones, I say buy em black.
That way you can change them back if your local Police Dept.
hassles you over them.
I'm running a white set,
and have been for about a year and a half.
No issues with the cops so far....
but I was pulled over multiple times for black lenses (front and back)
that I had on one of my pick-up's years ago.
I think it's just who wants to me a jerk that day really, but I don't know.
Good luck.

I had mine tinted at a window tinting business. Held up nicely for over a year now.

I'm not a lawyer, but in most states, white is a legal color to have your lenses in the front. White or Amber, anything redder or darker then amber and your SOL. You can run the black lenses, as long as the light shining through is white or amber. but again, I'm not a lawyer.

I think any tinting over lights is illegal, my friend rear ended some guy with tinted brake lights, the insurance company blamed him for having blacked out brakelights , my friend didnt have to pay anything.

NM, where are you from? some of the guys on here can give you some legal advice state by state. Be careful with the dark lenses. I've came up behind trucks and cars running smoke or tinted lenses on their cars and on some back roads it's hard to see them. That's why many states make them illegal.. I know if you're in south carolina it's probable cause for a stop. but then again in SC you only need reasonable suspicion.
