Blacked out my fender flares

I just blacked out my stock fender flares with a heat gun it worked well they were prity grayed out

how long and how far away where you with the gun?

I'm about to do this tomorrow.

BTW... did you leave the fenders on or did you remove them first? I was thinking it would be safer to remove them.

mine kinda of look like yours, they were not black but almost green.... the heat gun worked but a few weeks after they came right back to the greenish color, then I tryied the...grrrr.. whats the name...penetrol, it did worked good but same after a couples weeks it faded away. so mow I started to trim and paint them...

what would happen if you used the heat gun, then hit it with krylon fusion in the same day?

I just did it with them
Just give the gun a second to heat up before you start and I was like 2 inch away and just keep moving or you will melt the flare just go slow and over lap the passes about half on the black and half on the gray and make shore you do the bottom lip I for got on the first flare and had to go back and that's about it just go slow and over lap or it can get wavy lines in it bit It works and looks great
