Blackout hood decal vs. Plastidipped hood

Which is better in yalls opinion. What are the positives and negatives of each. Im talking blacking out the raised portion of the hood.

My opinion is that if you OEM paint is still in good shape, then leave it alone.

A decal may leave residue if you remove it and plasti dip may not peel off as easy if it wasn't sprayed correctly.

Some people may not want to or aren't ready to cut and drill into their hood. So doing something that gives it a different look without it having a permanent effect is where a decal or plasti dip would come in handy.

I don't think plastic dip looks bad at all I've been wanting to do this myself I have a can an1/2 left I think it'll look cool do it and post pics

Before you make fun of my paint rack yes it is 2 axle shafts lol

Yes the darker areas in yours. Ive plastidipped alot of items on diffrent vehicles. Rims, emblems, grills, small things are fine to plastidip but bigger things look uneven to me. But to each there own. If you like it rock it.

I did for a year but I'm now rockin a poison spyder hood louver.
