Those who tow boats with your jeep do u think my 4.0 on 33"s no gears stock axles (no danna 44s) 4inch lift will be able to pull this boat on the expressway for an hour or 2 ... Here my jeep the boat and my rear bumper . I'll be heading out tomm morning around 930 to the beach 1hr away not to mention 25 mph winds ! thanks for your advise

What's the boat weigh? I'm guessing it's over the 2000lb tow capacity. Also, unless that hitch is tied to the frame do not tow with it.

Towing capacity of a tj is only about 2000 lbs. I tow a jet ski and thats all i'll tow with mine, that boat looks like a lot for a tj, especially in high winds. Its not so much the power but the short wheelbase and breaking ability that really limits what you can tow with a tj. A boat that big is gonna be dicey, personally i would call a buddy with a bigger truck and wouldnt risk it.

you could probably get it moving but stopping and controlling it might be tough.. Glad to hear different arrangements have been made.
