Body Armor Rock Rails

Just Installed these this Morning. Got them On Sale @ Quadratec.

Install couldn't have been Easier. Took 10 Minutes MAX per Side. Did them by Myself as well with 2 Jack Stands to Hold the Rails before they were Bolted Up.

Fit & Finish is Spot On. Ordered them Yesterday Afternoon and they were here this Morning.

Just bought some from 4WheelParts but they will not be in until Tuesday. I received my $75 rebate from DynoMax and could not think of what to use it on then saw these 10% off too so it is like a $150 replacement for my Sahara steps that one got twisted at TDS.
Should do the job for some mild trail wheeling.

Picked up my rocker guards yesterday only to find out they were bare metal instead of the advertised black powder coat. Waited six weeks for them to reach the island, not happy about waiting longer for the correct guards.

I put on a set today. Very easy install minus the stubborn passenger side middle body mount bolt. Nothing a little MAPP gas couldn't take care of.

As far as weight, I believe the shipping weight was about 53 lbs.

Nice looking Jeep. 31's just look right on a TJ. Can not wait to get mine in on Tuesday and get rid of the stock steps.

Rail's On!

Got them on today. Nice, stout units for my trail runs. Look good and I get to keep my Sahara body cladding.

Passenger side went on extremelly easy, but drivers side took some effort to allign bolt holes in Body Mounts.

Forgot to say I gained 1" of clearance versus the stock Sahara steps plus more strength. Win-win for me.

It's Funny you say you had Trouble on the Driver Side. I did too, and the Front BM Bolt was the one that gave me Trouble goin back In. It wasn't a Flaw in the Rails, was just hard getting it back In.

By the way, how are your H&R coil springs holding up? How do you like the ride so far? I'm considering installing those springs for a small lift. Thanks.

That was the exact same bolt I had issues with. Kind of off center. As for my H&R springs, really satisfied with their performance along with the Edlebrock shocks. Smile on all the washboard roads now.
Still not sure to run 31's or 32's or even add my BL? Really satisfied as is for now and other than a little more clearance for the tires, I can't think of a reason to go higher and possibly invite more problems.

Glad to hear that the H&R springs work out well. Which Edlebrock shocks did you get? I noticed that there were some that were discontinued. I was thinking of going with the Bilstein 5100 shocks for 0-2" lift. I'd like to improve the ride on the washboard roads down here in Arizona, especially after the monsoon. I like the idea of keeping the center of gravity low as I drive on some pretty steep mining roads and would hate to end up down at the bottom of the a canyon. I'm going to stick with the 31" tires to save on gas. Thanks for the follow up on your lift. Have a good evening!

The H&R's are doin Good for me as well. I really like them Coupled with my 2" BB.

The Roads are like Crap by me, and while the H&R's are a lil Stiffer than the OE Springs, the Jeep just Feels more in Control.

Thanks for the followup report. I've got the H&R springs at the top of my modification list. Have a good one!

Should go good with the Bilstein's. Just can't go wrong with them shocks, they would be my next choice if I had to do it over again, but so far so happy.

Thanks for the feedback. The Bilstein 5100's for 0-2" lift are on back order until sometime this month.

I love my Body Armors too. I put some grip tape along the top to keep my foot from sliding off if they get wet. Could cause a nasty bump on the shin!

I am about to buy these used for $100, I was just wondering, is there was any drilling required?
