Question Body Lift??

My TJ currently has a 2.5" Suspension lift, and I was wondering if I added a body lift how tall I should go without it looking ridiculous. Im running 33"x12.5" tires that don't rub or anything, but they are kinda close to the fenders. I was thinking about a two inch body lift...thoughts??

I have a 1" daystar. No issues, but read the directions first, there are parts they expect you to reuse. or I ended up getting new ones from the dealership.

x2 on this. mml=motor mount lift

with 2.5" of lift, you'll need 2" bumpstop extensions front and rear to clear 33s. with a 2.5" lift and 1.25" BL, you'll only need 1" bumpstop extension in front, and 1.5" in rear.

Yes, if you lift the body it is best to lift the engine as well. JKS 1.25 BL and JKS 1" MML are made to work together. That will save you from having to modify your fan shroud and you won't have to alter your transfer case linkage.

You don't NEED a MML with the BL, but it makes some mods easier down the road, and helps your pinion angle. If you don't do the MML with the BL, t-case linkage can get funky, and the fan shroud needs relocated.

And no, sorry to tell you, but 2.5" lift isn't enough for 33s. You need bumpstop extension otherwise the tires rub the fenders badly at full stuff. It doesn't matter what it looks like sitting in your driveway, what matters is what happens when the suspension is fully compressed.

I agree. My 33's are fine around town, but they would def rub off the hardtop...

If you have the $ I suggest M.O.R.E. bombproof motor mount lifts. Just a much nicer product and easier than the jKS spacers.

I would say that is sound advice. I would have upgraded to the brown dog mounts that Dirk sells but I had already upgraded my shocks.

You dont "have to" but it does make like much easier. Plus if you installed a t-case drop kit when you did you 2.5" suspension, you should be able to remove it and gain that clearance back.
