Body Lift

The following pic shows why I hate the body lift on our Jeep so bad. Cant stand the gap. Exactly why I'm taking it off.

The next pic is a close up. I'm curious ...is that a body lift block on top of the factory mount or is that all body lift parts? I'm not familiar how it looks from the factory.

Yeah it looks bad, it seems like it is on top of the factory mount.

Looking at options now to decide what to do. Wish I could find someone with a used lift they want to sell. Might end up pulling the body lift off and doing the Budget Boost. Let me know if you know anyone with a used lift kit for sale.

if its just the gap at the back annoying you then you could get a rear tire carrier...although i'd personnaly move down to a 1" BL and do a BB.

I'll 2nd that. I did the 1" BL with a 2" lift. That was money well spent. The $'s spent on the rear-bumper/tire carrier is suspect.

Don't get me wrong. It's a fine piece of equipment, and is pretty much everything as advertised. In retrospect I would have spent the money elsewhere and worked out the tire issue.

Who has the best prices on that stuff? I'm new to Jeeps and not familiar with where everyone buys from. Which BB and 1" BL would you recommend? Also curious...does the 1" BL go on top of the factory mount or do you take the stock one out?

There are two different styles of BL. The puck style that just goes on top of your stock body pucks and then the full replacement style body lift. I'm thinking probably a 20 to 30 dollar difference from one to the other.

Daystar, Peformance Accessories, JKS are just a few that make BL's.

I personally have a 1" Daystar full replacement body lift on my heep.

Looking for pricing give Joe at Absolute Offroad here in PHX a call. He's a board sponsor and will work with you on what you need. www.absoluteoffroadphx.com
