body lifts

My ? is why does no one like body lifts. I tried to use search function for this answer, it only pulls up 1000 or so threads I,m to impatient to look through all of them. I have 99 TJ 4.0 3" body lift 33x12.50 bought like this. has d35 & d30 w 3.07, Installing 4.56 because everything i read here says would be best for most driving road trails etc. thinking of going with a 2" budget lift and swapping out to either a 1or 2 body lift just not sure is worth the hassle or time to do this. of coarse I could leave the 3" and still add the 2" lift, no hardcore offroading in my future or plans to go with 35. what do ya'll think thanks for the help.

People like body lifts as long as they are under 2" once you get to three inches your center of gravity is high and your gonna tip lol but most people are a fan of let's say a 3" suspension and a 1" or 1.25 suspension lift

Also with a 3" body lift, the gap between the body and the frame is too much, it looks bad IMO, the body looks like it's floating 3" above the chassis, and get into issues correcting your shifting of both your t case and trans, and various other things that need extending

Yeah, a body lift is only going to lift the body, obviously. You're not going to gain any ground clearence with it, more for looks than function.

I've got a 3" suspension and 1" body running 33's. Mine had just a 3" body when I bought it and I hated it.

like many are saying, looks are bad. most people go with a small 1 or 1.25 BL, just for looks and that extra clearance. 3 inches has the gap that alot of people hate, but when it comes down to it, if you dont care, no one cares. its your jeep to do as you wish.
