Question Body or suspension lift?

Hi everyone,

Just joined the forum here and just wanted to say thanks for maintaining such a great site! I realize this is a stupid question, but I'm new to Jeeping and have a lot to learn. Can you guys tell me if I've got a body lift or a suspension lift on my Jeep based on this picture? Let me know if you need any other specific pictures and I'll get them posted.

Thanks!

its your jeep you should do what you want....but in my opinion suspension lifts are way better. especially in looks......but either way your gonna be spending a bit of money so you probably wanna research a lot. not every jeep needs a lift. yours looks pretty sick as is but i understand the want for a lil more height

What size tires? Stance almost looks stock to me. If you have no gap between the bumper look at rear, then no body lift. I had an 01 SE type and with a 2" lift looked close to the same, not sure of the Unlimited package, way too many options out there.

It looks like you have a small suspension lift or none at all. Are you running 31" tires? From what I can see there is not a BL on your Jeep. Are there any spacers on the top of your coil springs? That would indicate some type of BB or budget boost.

post pics of the shocks, track bars, springs, steering, bumpstops. take measurements of your springs and compare those to the numbers in the FAQ.

I have become pretty familiar with the Unlimited suspensions lately and you don't have a body lift that I can tell. My bet is that you have spacers on your coils...or called a BB here. If not somebody has installed about a 2" suspension lift. What size are the tires?

Thanks for all the replies. The tires are LT305/70/R16. Here's a picture of the coil:

I think your question has been answered but welcome to WF!!

No question is stupid. I had to learn what a JK jeep was when I started. My knowledge stops in 1986.

Did you miss the longer coil and 2'' bumpstop bolted to the lower spring pad?

OP...2 to 3'' lift...measure your coils and look for any tags/labels or stamping.

To me the bump didn't look that long but hey I have drank a few, lol. I hate pics, you lose depth perception

Edit: plus I am sort of an idiot so you have to give a little leeway there, lol
