Bought a new compressor for my A/C.I think the clutch is rubbing a bit.or bad bearing

my old compressor was making the same noise prior to it failing. this thing is brand new out of the box. is this normal(i would assume not)? is there a way to adjust it or should i return it? here is a video. thanks

I would return it and when they hand you the new one, make sure to check it at the parts counter.

Is that a vane pump? If so you are hearing the vanes move. That would be normal then.

i believe it's a reciprocating compressor.i can clearly hear the pulley rub against the clutch.ugh
