Bought me a TJ

I've been searching for awhile to locate a clean 97-04 TJ in Hawaii. I'll be arriving on the island in 10 days and wanted to have one purchased prior. A good friend inspected it for me and he likes it better than his Jeep.

It's a 1998 Sport, 4.0 engine with a 5 speed. There are 80k miles on it. Everything works great. New brake rotors with ceramic pads, new full exhaust including catalytic convertor and battery.

It's stock except for a Warn wench and a 2" lift. Owner installed the 2" lift springs, shocks and dropped the tranny. Also has newer rims and 31" tires. Vehicle is very clean and had only been on the island for two years.

I intend to replace the front and rear bumpers, linex the floor and get different wheels and new tires later this year. Nothing wild, just a fun daily driver that can handle mild trails. Here is a couple pictures.

If it's a wench it's most likely worn!

Nice Jeep. What island you going to be on? Plan is to go to Kauai in August if all goes well. Plan on renting a Jeep or Samarai to explore a little while out there.

I'll be on Oahu for three years. Just left northern Virginia and look forward to the warmer year round climate.

I'm not sure on what wheels I'll get. I'm still looking. I think something polished cause IMO black wouldn't look the best with the paint color and top.

I hear people call winches "wenches" all the time. Do they realize what a wench is in slang? go to urbandictionary.com if your not sure.

My jeep didn't come with a wench, but it sure does seem to attract them. Congrats on the jeep sir. Enjoy!

That's not clean, that's new. Amazing find!

Stock stereo (I consider this always a pretty good marker) and it looks like the doors have never been off. Really consider yourself pretty lucky, and I don't mean moving from the mixing bowl to perfect year-round weather--that's just on top of the TJ.
