brain rattling question, at least for me.

Ya'll, I have a quick question that might rattle some brains

I purchased a set of 33X14 or 14.50 BFG Mud terrains (old tread pattern) that are I think he said are 8 or 9 ply tread and 10 ply sidewall. Could I run an 10 inch wide rim or would a 12 be better?

I would prefer a 10 because you cant really find tires that are that wide in 33's anymore.

What backspacing would I need to run a that wide on our wranglers. I get occasional rub on my sway bar when driving around fields with the 33X12.50 running Cragars with 3.75 backspacing. Also I have NO LIFT!

33x12.5 are usually run with 8" wheels so I'd imagine that 10" wheels would be fine for 33x14.5 . . . I'm not sure how you are going to get around the rubbing though if you don't have a lift . . . 31's are usually the biggest you can go on a stock suspension without rubbing.

I love this company. EVERYTHING is well thought out and tested before it hit the streets.

If you are looking for a lift kit read into theirs before pulling the trigger on another company. Ya they do cost quite a bit more, BUT it is well worth the investment. I have done business with them and are always there to help.
their lift kits are not just suspension or for show, they are considered suspension systems. They give you complete protection for just about everything, tummy tucker, engine skid, differential skids, ect.

Sorry bro . . . I didn't notice the HighLine in your sig. AEV (and Nth) make some nice products fo sho . . . pricey, but nice. I'd expect the 10" wheels to handle those tires, but not sure about the BS . . . I know 3.75 is called for when running a 33x12.5, but not sure about that tire size. I had a buddy that had 33x12.5 on 10" rim and he did not like them . . . sold them to another buddy who didn't like them either . . . both ended up returning to a 8" wheel.

its not finished yet, so here is some pretty decent pics. 33X12.50R15 firestone destination AT. stock rear flares, no flares on the front. i like the look of having no flares. i just needs to warm up so i can wash it and get the rear off.

How can it be considered a suspension system when it's just replacing sheet metal body parts?
