brake lines and what you can get away with

I'm in the process of converting a tera flex 3in kit into a 4.5 inch kit. I was wondering when you need to extend the break lines on one of these things this is the first tj i have owned and have worked on so its new to me. Its an 05 x package

It depends on the flex/droop you have but at about 3-4" of lift if you disconnect the front you want to start looking into extended lines. Many people just run YJ lines as they are bolt on and a couple inches longer.

My 3" lift uses 1" drop brackets. I don't think I'd go more than 3" without doing something to extend them.
